Ireland's Best Wedding Fair Perfect Details for your wedding Weddings on Holy Island Getting Married in Italy

Get Married in Italy!

What could be more romantic than an Italian wedding? Traditionally Irish couples have often travelled to Rome to get married, but there are so many other wonderful options.

What about Verona?

A beautiful and ancient city of winding streets with a rich tapestry of art, architecture, and history is surrounded my miles of vineyards and of course Verona was famously home to the most famous of romantic couples, Romeo and Juliet.

With its fairy tale castles, romantic and luxurious villas and a seductive mixture of old and new, it makes a perfect location for your honeymoon as well as your wedding.

Or have you considered Soave, on the lower slopes of the Lessinia mountains not far from Verona.

Vineyards producing the famed Soave wine flourish on the volcanic soil of the valleys and though time moves slowly here it has left its mark in the castles, churches, ancient bell towers and little villages which dot the countryside.

Wine lovers will also appreciate the lovely Valpolicella region, with its cellars, Romanesque abbeys and churches, sumptuous villas (many available for weddings), impressive fortresses, parks and archaeological sites of extraordinary beauty.

And then of course there is Venice, which is somewhere everyone should visit at least once in a life time.

From strolling in St Mark's Square to exploring the narrow streets around the canals or relaxing while a gondolier takes you on a slow tour of his city, there is romance around every corner in Venice.
