A feast for the eyes, this theme is about being big and bold, from graphic monochrome prints to hot pops of summer colour, there’s nothing subtle about it.

Think chevron, ikat, stripes, floral, paisley, geometric, wigwam and you’ve got it. Of course those are just some of the best know styles of graphic prints, but if you really want to give this trend a new spin, then think beyond the obvious and go for graphic prints of animals, fruits, or items like VW camper vans or anything in between.

Key to making this work, is to think contrast and clash with some bold pops of colour.

Here’s some ideas to get you thinking. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to get in touch with me directly if you wish to chat about any aspect of your wedding planning and décor.

Invites

If the thoughts of a big graphic statement in your wedding décor is not your sort of thing, but you still want to get a taste of the trend into your day, then do it with your invites! You can have huge fun with them and the best part is that it’s not going to be a massive visual statement in your décor.

Backdrops

Think big when it comes to this type of backdrop. You want a truly bold, stand out print with a splash of colour to really tick the trend box. Whether that’s monochrome stripes with a pop of pink, or gold chevrons with a pop of black, don’t be afraid to have fun here. Use the backdrops in your ceremony, as your own DIY photobooth or in your reception behind the top table or dessert/cake table for example.

On the Table

When it comes to the table, think table cloths and runners in vivid stripes, paisley, chevron, wigwam, geometric, brocade and everything in between! Contrast these vivacious prints with bold colours in terms of florals and tealights or candles interspersed and you’ve got a stunning look ready to go.

The Cake

The cake is still very much a visual centrepieces for a lot of weddings, so going bold with its design is a great way to inject some colour into your wedding décor. Have fun with colour and texture here. Don’t be afraid to have clashing tiers too!
